Police respond to pharmacy break-in

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Jan. 14 at approximately 2:09 a.m. officers were called to the 8000 block of Holly Road for a business alarm. They found the businesses vestibule door pried open with the deadbolt in the lock position, and the interior doors smashed. Further investigation revealed the suspects had gained access to the cash register and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and some bills were left on the floor. The incident is pending further investigation and officials ask anyone with additional information to contact them at 810-424-2611. — P.S.

Fight ends in OWI arrest.

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Jan. 14 at approximately 2:34 a.m., officers responded to a report of a fight in the 5500 block of S. Saginaw. Upon arrival security pointed out one of the suspects who was attempting to leave in his vehicle as the police pulled on scene. He was pulled over to be interviewed and officers found him to smell of the odor of intoxicants and administered field sobriety tests which he failed, scoring a .14 on the Preliminary Breath Test. The 28-yearold Davison male scored a .13 and a .12 on subsequent chemical breath tests. He was lodged at the Flint City jail. — P.S.

Woman steals gifts

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Jan. 12, at approximately 2:45 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of S. Saginaw for a report of retail fraud. Upon arrival, a loss prevention officer stated he had followed a 23-year-old Flint female who had placed a baby swing in a cart and then went to the toy section and placed several dolls in her purse. She then traveled past the last point of sale and the anti-theft scan alerted to the tag on the swing at which point he detained her. Officers interviewed her after a Miranda warning and she admitted to stealing the items to give to her family members as she didn’t have any money and wanted then to have nice things. The items value totaled $278.44, she was arrested, charged with Retail Fraud and lodged in the Genesee County jail. — P.S.
