Lions seek new members

GOODRICH —The Goodrich Lions Club is having an open house on August 10 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Lion’s Den at 9196 S. State Rd., Please stop by to find out about joining the Lions Club and all of the worthwhile community projects they are involved in. Annual Pet adoption event

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Fenton Adopt- A-Pet is again hosting Petfest, a large outdoor pet adoption event, at Genesys Health Park, on Saturday August 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Several pet shelters will attend and parking and admission are free. This event is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Stella and Frederick Loeb Charitable Trust administered by The Huntington National Bank. Education Foundation hosts Duck Race benefit

GRAND BLANC — The Goodrich Robotics team is having their bottle and can drive Sunday, August 13th. We will have our trailer at the Dollar General from 10:30 to 5-ish. We will also be driving through select neighborhoods within the area. If we haven’t came to your neighborhood in the past, please feel free to drop your returnables at the Dollar General.. — P.S.

Under Construction

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Library, 10237 Hegel Rd., will present Under Construction on Aug. 12 at 2:30 p.m. Kids can build a tall tower and use magnets to sort hardware and follow a blueprint to build structures using hands-on STEM activities. For more information call 636- 2489. — P.S.

Lego Club

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Library, 10237 Hegel Rd., will host Lego Club on Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. Children will build awesome projects that will be displayed in the library. Come prepared to be creative and have fun. No registration required. For more information call 636-2489. — P.S.
