Messiah auditions to be held

GRAND BLANC — Area church, school, and community choirs and individual singers might take note: The Grand Blanc Arts Council is holding solo auditions Sunday, June 5, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for their 29th annual community Messiah performance. Auditions will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church; 11824 S. Saginaw Street. Goodrich Robotics can and bottle drive

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Robotics Teams 494 & 70 will be having a can and bottle drive on May 21st. They will go through area neighborhoods for pickup and in addition will have a convenient trailer at the Dollar General on M-15 in downtown Goodrich from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for drop off. Please consider saving your returnables for us until then! — P.S.

Concert to benefit VFW

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Blanc United Methodist church, 515 Bush Ave in Grand Blanc will host the Common Grace Ensemble who will be presenting a concert to benefit the Burton VFW post #2777. The event, in cooperation with My Heart Supports the Troops, will be held for donations of goods and cash for the benefit of the troops, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. — P.S.

Historical open house at Heritage Museum

GRAND BLANC — The public is invited to the Grand Blanc Heritage Museum’s Memorial Day Open House Monday, May 30, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Crafters will be on hand to demonstrate traditional crafting skills, and tours will be given of the Museum and its collections.
