Optimist’s to host Santa Breakfast

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A special Christmas Invitation is extended to all children, parents and grandparents for a free breakfast with Santa, including a photograph and a goodies bag to take home. The event will be held at the Grand Blanc Township Hall, 5371 S. Saginaw St., on Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Grand Blanc Optimist Club is sponsoring Santa’s Breakfast with donations from many generous local businesses. Details: Call 248- 736-8833. — P.S.

Christmas at the museum

GRAND BLANC —The Grand Blanc Heritage Association’s Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration is coming Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. with a selection of Christmas carols on the Museum’s 1922 Farrand player piano and its 1875 reed organ. Enjoy an evening of music by local musicians, Christmas messages, sharing of precious Christmas memories, and fellowship and refreshments to follow on the Museum’s lower level. Admission is by a monetary donation, or a donation of non-perishable food, paper goods, or toiletries to FISH, Grand Blanc’s own volunteer relief organization. T. J. Craven Performs

GRAND BLANC TWP. — T. J. Craven will be singing a medley of songs at the monthly meeting of the Grand Blanc Women’s Club, Dec. 9. Luncheon is served at 12:30 p.m. at the Flint Elks Club, 7177 E. Blood drive next week

GOODRICH —The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 S. State Rd, Goodrich, on Dec. 10, from noon to 5:45 p.m. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-733-2767 or going to redcrossblood.org with sponsor code ‘Goodrich UMC’. Individuals 17 years and older who are in good health may donate blood. Please have a donor card, driver’s license or MI ID with you when you come to donate. Drop-ins are also welcome. — P.S.
