Retail fraud, trespassing at Walmart

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A 35-year-old Flint man was cited Feb. 10 when officers were called to 6170 S. Saginaw at 4:08 p.m. following a call from loss prevention officials. The man, who is well known to store security and forbidden on the property due to previous shoplifting incidents, was observed getting off the bus, entering the store and removing two double-A batteries from a package and concealing them in his coat. When questioned by officers, he indicated he needed them for his Walkman and when asked why he was trespassing in the store, he stated he had been arrested “too many times to count”. He refused to answer any other questions and was ticketed and released. — P.B.

OWI and warrants

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A 38-year-old Holly man was arrested on Feb. 10 at 2:22 a.m. when officers observed him in the area of I-75 and Dort Highway traveling in a black Cadillac at a high rate of speed. The 38-yearold driver was also swerving within his lane according to officers and when pulled over, stated he had just come from a wrestling meet. When asked how much he had to drink, he stated he had not had anything, agreed to and failed a field sobriety test, including a preliminary breath test where he blew a .12. His 29-year-old male passenger from Davisburg was also arrested on outstanding warrants. Both men were cited and released. — P.B.

Suspended license and drug possession

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A 28-year-old Mt. Morris female was arrested Feb. 7th in the 5500 block of Fenton Road at 12:57 p.m. Officers observed her driving a vehicle with defective equipment and when she was pulled over and interviewed, she stated she did not have her license with her. Officers found out her license was suspended and when searching the suspect, found her to have 1.44 grams of marijuana in her possession in two plastic bags. She was issued a ticket and released. — P.B.
