The Natural Wellness & Pain Relief

Here are some frequently asked questions about our offices and the services we provide. We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive care in a very personalized, caring environment. Our patients mean so much more to us than just HMO or health insurance coverage. Our goal is to help you live a life full of health and vitality.

Q: My physician ran thyroid tests on me and said that they were normal. Why do I still feel like I have thyroid symptoms?

A: There are many factors involved in thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism. Direct thyroid testing can involve as many as seven laboratory values. Many physicians often run only one or two. Therefore, it is important to run the remaining thyroid lab tests, as many thyroid symptoms are not directly caused by the thyroid itself. Other primary causes, such as immune hypersensitivity, adrenal dysfunction, or gluten/casein sensitivity can all lead to hypothyroidism. It is important that your physician explore all of these potential variables in order to achieve a good clinical response.

Q: I have developed severe insomnia since I started menopause. Could the insomnia be related to hormonal changes?

A: Decreases in progesterone due to the onset of menopause can cause severe insomnia. Replacing progesterone with bio-identical progesterone can help relieve these symptoms.

Q: How do bio-identical hormones differ from synthetic hormones like Premarin and Prempro?

A: Synthetic hormones have been implicated in the development of multiple side effects. These side effects include (but are not limited to) blood clots, heart disease, breast cancer, and stroke. Bio-identical hormones, when prescribed correctly, are protective against heart disease, cancer, and are not associated with increased risk of blood clots. Bio-identical hormones are derived from plants, and are chemically identical to the hormones your body naturally produces.

Q: What types of therapies do you offer in your clinics?

A: The Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Centers are multidisciplinary clinics offering a wide range of clinical services for chronic pain and chronic debilitating diseases. In addition to bio-identical hormones, we offer HcG and PXR Weight Loss programs, the MUA and P-STIM pain management procedures, IV nutritional therapy, chelation therapy, testosterone pellet therapy for men, spinal manipulation and rehabilitation, decompression therapy, and Poly-MVA complementary cancer therapy.
