Grand Blanc ski competes in league championships

GRAND BLANC — The high school ski season is moving toward the postseason and the Grand Blanc teams competed at the Kensington Lakes Activities Association meet on Monday, with the boys taking second in the Giant Slalom and third in the Slalom.
Lakeland won the GS, and for Grand Blanc, Adam Novajovsky was fifth in 33.84, Phil Klick was sixth in 34.04 and CJ King seventh in 34.09. Andrew Morgan was 11th in 34.41, Mike Engelman was 13th in 34.68 and Nick Marsala was 30th in 35.71.
In the Slalom, Klick was fourth in 38.55, Novajovsky was eighth in 40.08 and King was 17th in 42.31.
In the girls’ races, Grand Blanc placed second in the GS, with Lauren Ulrich eighth in 39.31, Amanda Ulrich was 12th in 40.31 and Kylie Fairman 16th in 40.78. Taylor Prokott was 23rd in 41.54, Alexa Foote was 29th in 42.19 and Ashlyn Mueser was 43rd in 43.87.
In the Slalom, Grand Blanc was third with Lauren Ulrich seventh in 38.89, Fairman was 20th in 41.54, Amanda Ulrich was 25th in 43.12 and Megan Prokott was 26th in 43.74 and Taylor Prokott was 33rd in 44.53.
