Council of Homeowners Associations to meet

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Calling all representatives from Homeowner Association Boards, condo officers and neighborhood watch groups. The Grand Blanc Township Council of Homeowners Associations has its next meeting on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Police Department community room. Find out how subdivision and condo groups are run. Learn from the experience of other neighborhood associations. Get practical advice as to what works and what does not. No political affiliation, just sharing of helpful information from subdivision and condo leaders. Be part of positive and forward looking organization. There will be homemade cookies. Free Halloween Party for MOMS and kids of Grand Blanc

GRAND BLANC TWP. — All Moms and kids that live West of Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc or Grand Blanc Township are invited to a Free Halloween Party Oct. 19 at the St Christopher’s Church.

MOMS Club is an international support group for mothers who have children. The group offers a wide range of activities, including special programs for mothers, playgroups for children, field trips, kids day out, MOMS night out and get-togethers for the whole family. Mom2Mom Sale Nov. 6

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Class of 2012 will host a Mom2Mom Sale, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be tables available for moms to sell gently used children’s items and maternity wear. They also encourage vendors who offer items or services related to children and/or women’s interests.

Rent an 8’ table for $15 each or bring your own rack for $3 each. For $2 each, you can place your larger items (furniture, strollers, large toys, etc.) in the Large Item Room. Our volunteers work hard to keep this area secure, organized, and they sell the items for you while you are busy at your table.

First Baptist Church presents costume party

GRAND BLANC — The annual Children’s Costume Party, “Shine With the Light of Jesus” will be held Oct. 23 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, G-6106 S. Saginaw St. It is for children through sixth grade.

A keepsake photo, crafts, games and costume judging will be available. The costume judging will recognize the brightest, most original and most unique. Snacks will be furnished. Each child will be given a bag of candy and gifts to take home. — G.G.

GHS Class of 2011 sponsors euchre night

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Class of 2011 will sponsor a Euchre Tournament Fundraiser Oct. 17, starting at 4 p.m., at Cranberries Café in downtown Goodrich. The cost is $20 per player and participants do not need to bring a partner. It includes a night of euchre, food, cash prizes for the winners and door prizes. There will also be a 50/50 drawing. Mister Rogers’ Sweater Drive

GENESEE COUNTY — WCMU and the Genesee District Library (GDL) invite the community to participate in the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive now-Dec. 18 at all branches of the GDL. Community members can donate new or gently worn sweaters to help keep a neighbor warm this winter. Details: Visit www.thegdl.org. — N.B.
