FSO looking for musicians

AREAWIDE -- The Flint Institute of Music recently announced that the Flint Symphony Orchestra is looking for musicians for the 2006-2007 season. Auditions will be Monday, Sept. 25 at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor School of Music.

Positions open are: Principal Viola (one year position), Section First Violins, Section Second Violins, Section Violas and Section Basses. Should the Principal Viola or Section First Violins positions be won by a current FSO member, the resulting vacancy would be offered to a runner-up.

The positions require a minimum of 34 services for the 2006-2007 season. All candidates should be prepared to show proof of authorization to work in the United States. For information to schedule an audition, call 810-237-3125 or e-mail rjohnson@thefim.org. -- Patrick Hayes
